Andhra Pradesh CM Started Fiber Net Project

Driving the IT transformation and the Digital India activity, Andhra Pradesh government today propelled AP FiberNet in Visakhapatnam today.

“It denote a critical turning point for every one of us and those crosswise over India, introducing an innovation upheaval in India in computerized network,” Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said.


John Chambers, official executive of Cisco said AP has turned out to be a pioneer in computerized network and included that the legislature is banding together with the product mammoth in skilling and start-up activities.

The AP Fiber Grid Project has been taken up under the National Optic Fiber Network (NOFN) of the Center as a pilot. The venture has been executed the venture at the cost of Rs.333 crore. It will bit by bit be taken off to different regions by this July.

A broadband association of 15 Mbps line at Rs.149 every month will be given to 1.3 crore families, while workplaces will get a 100 Mbps association at Rs.999 every month.
